Oh goodness, I have been MIA these past couple months. The semester winding down is always super hectic and it was the start of concert season! I went to a variety of shows which were all amazing.
In April I went to Austin to and saw Coheed and Cambria and Kings of Leon. Coheed was beyond amazing like always. Every time I see them I think that's the best I've seen them, but they always out do themselves the next time. This show is definitely in my top five. A whole night of Coheed, what could be better?
Kings of Leon were great too. I must say those boys are so talented and so damn sexy! It was quite the treat seeing Band of Horses with them and I'm excited to see them together again in August.
Awesome video by the Band of Horses. I think this will be my signature dance now.
In May I saw Manchester Orchestra, Bob Seger and ZZ top. The Manchester show was great because Harrison Hudson was opening for them. I LOVE Harrison Hudson and that's why I'm backing his album. I believe the music he's making is great, he is truly talented. Manchester did a solid job like always, but I was more intrigued by the crowd this time. There were tons of great people watching opportunities.
Bob oh Bob! He is 61 and still killing it! I saw him a few years and he was more vibrant this time than he was then. Bob is just a true American rocker. After all these years you can tell he loves what he does and loves his fans.
I just realized ZZ Top wasn't on my Concert Bucket list when they should have been. I have always wanted to here them do the bluesy "howwhowwhowww" growl. They were a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the simplicity of their stage set. It just shows how great of entertainers they are with out all the nonsense people use these days.
June was pretty dry, filled with work and class, so I didn't get to go to any shows. I am hoping to catch one this month, but if not it's no big deal. I am going to Lollapalooza in August so that'll make up for it!!
